Meal Plans

What Meal Plans do you offer?

We offer a variety of meal plans to meet your on campus dining needs. Check out our Meal Plan page for a full list of offerings.

What type of Meal Plan is recommended?

We have a variety of meal plans to meet your needs! Depending on your class year, where you live, and how much you are on campus, our recommendations may vary. Be sure to use our filter and sort functions to help choose your plan. If you still need help choosing a plan, give us a call at 832-842-5989 or email us at uhdining@uh.edu.

How can I purchase a Meal Plan?

You can purchase your meal plan by clicking here, selecting Cougar Card and choosing "Buy a Meal Plan" from the drop down menu options.

Are Meal Plans required?

All students that living in Moody Towers, Cougar Village I or II, Cougar Place, or the Quadrangle are required to purchase a meal plan.

What is Cougar Cash?

Cougar Cash is accepted as payment at all on campus restaurants. It is loaded right on your Cougar Card, so there is no need to carry around cash or another card! There is no minimum balance, over draft fees, or hassles!

How do I get Cougar Cash?

Cougar Cash can be purchased by logging on to AccessUH and selecting Cougar Card - Buy a Meal Plan or choosing the replenishment option.

What if I want to change my Meal Plan?

Meal Plan change requests must be completed on AccessUH by the 12th class day of each long semester. For questions, call the Cougar Card office at 832-842-9053.

How do I get into the dining locations once I have purchased my Meal Plan?

Within 24 hours, your Cougar Card will be activated with your meal plan. Present your card to the cashier in the dining hall, and you are all set!

Can I carry meals over to the next semester?

No, all meals expire at the end of the semester.

Can I treat a friend to a meal?

All Access 7 plan holders have 15 guest passes to use throughout the semester. Students on all other plans may treat a friend by giving them one of your meal swipes. Just remember, you are limited to 4 swipes per day. You can also always treat a friend using Cougar Cash.

What do I do when my Cougar Cash gets low?

You can reload your Cougar Cash at any time! Cougar Cash can be purchased by logging on to AccessUH and selecting Cougar Card - Replenish.

Where is the Meal Plan Office Located?

The Cougar Card office manages the meal plan system. They are located inside the Welcome Center Parking Garage at 4810 Calhoun Rd, Suite 151, Houston, TX 77004.
